A bem ou a mal

The European Union should try to adopt its new constitution despite rejection by French and Dutch voters in referendums this year, new German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday.

"We should not give up on the constitutional treaty," she said after talks in Brussels with European Parliament President Josep Borrell.

"We are willing to do what is necessary to see the constitution enter into force," she said, reiterating a plank of her new government's manifesto.
